My primary focus is on no-gi training, as it best supports my approach—emphasizing a broad range of leglocks and techniques that transfer well to MMA and wrestling styles.
However, if you are preparing for a gi competition or prefer gi training, we can adapt the sessions to meet your needs.

My name is Siljen, and I’m the founder of Focused Grappling
Focused Grappling is my humble approach to giving back to the community—sharing my interpretation of Jiu-Jitsu and contributing to the next generation.
First, we receive. Then, we create. Finally, we are able to give back.
One of the biggest pitfalls I see for new students today is the overwhelming amount of content available through social media. The techniques showcased online are absolutely fascinating and creative, but without the right foundation, they can lead to distraction and a sense of overwhelm.
Staying focused is the new superpower!
My teaching style is grounded and systematic. Skill development takes time. The mother of learning is repetition. That’s why you will find fundamental concepts approached from different angles in every one of my classes.
I´m an active black belt in BJJ and trained in other martial arts like MMA, Boxing and K-1. I hold a university degree in Physiotherapy and studied Sports Science.
